Its that time of the month again , back for another Lab Sessions on TunnelFM . This month we have the sound's of Sergio Lora and Snr Denzil .
After years and years listening to deep house music Sergio decided to start mixing. At the age of 36, he gradually found his style with the deep house genre . Late 2013 he posted his first set on Soundcloud. It wasn't long until german magazine Kulmuche.de promoted one of his sets . Then came the guest slot on Saturosound session . Nowadays you can hear him live at Vivero Beach Club sunset session in Sitges, Barcelona.
Sergio alway's has the intention and hope that everyone who hear's his sets have a good time.
Snr Denzil occassional dj lover of deep house, punk, ska and anything else that has a wee bit of sincerity to it. Married to Di, free thinker, hedonist and daft. Think for meself, govern meself and don't follow the rules. Used to dj a lot in and around Liverpool at the likes of Igloo, Aztec, Discoscience, I was a regular at tne legendary Dragon in Liverpool (gone but never forgotten). Around the country played a free parties in the county of Rutland with the JBL Sound System, Sankeys in Manchester and a night called Serenity in Brighton. I have played on the same bill as such house/dance music luminaries as John Digweed, Silicone Soul, Da Sunlounge, Mr C & Shur-I-Kan, Milton Jackson, Andrew Weatherall, Frank Lorber & most recently Shadowchild to name a few.
Then there was the short lived ColleKtivE which musically had the potential to go places and most recently Terrace slots at Av.Verde (if there ever was a party to attend in the north west it has to be this)..... No longer committed to any club night following the demise of Igloo which saddened me but life goes on, who knows what will happen next and even what will happen after that.. Never say never.

Next installment of The Lab Sessions coming at you next week on Tunnel FM
Thursday the 8th May from 7 - 9pm G.M.T ( 8 - 10pm C.E.T )
This month you have myself David Lee and Dean Marsh .
Dean's just your average Geordie bloke who loves his music . His love for all things house started way back at the age of 13... listening to Wear FM (local North East radio station here in the UK) where he listened to everything from Chicago House to Drum n Bass/Jungle and all things in between.
Buying dodgy mixtapes by Sasha, Colin Dale, Carl Cox etc, buying tunes at the legendary Trax Record shop in Newcastle and learning to mix on his shitty Citronic Belt drives, joining like minded friends on unforgettable nights out... going to the mighty Shindig (THE best club ever) at 16 and still do to this very day!
This is how he fell in love with House in all it's many forms, and what has shaped his sound and style.
So i hope this gives you a clue to what to expect from his mixes
Enjoy :)
You can check out Dean's other mixes over at Soundcloud and Mixcloud .

Very sad day today in the House world , The Godfather of House , Frankie Knuckles has died aged 59.
Knuckles was born in the Bronx in 1955, and became a disco DJ in the early 1970s, spinning with childhood friend and garage pioneer Larry Levan at the Continental Baths. In 1977, the Warehouse nightclub opened in Chicago, and Knuckles moved to the city to become its premier DJ. As legend has it, the music Knuckles would spin at "The Warehouse" became extremely popular among his regular clubgoers, who would then go to record stores to request "house" music—music spun at "The Warehouse."
What Knuckles would spin evolved into its own genre, as producers used drum machines to produce less expensive version of popular dance styles. Knuckles would also begin to do his own edits, remaking disco tracks to make them work better for his dance floor.
The Warehouse became the crucible of a genre that would conquer the world and can still be heard on radio stations to this day.
In 1983, Knuckles moved from The Warehouse to his own club, the Power Plant.
Knuckles also became a producer, recording iconic versions of Jamie Principle's "Your Love," "Baby Wants To Ride," and "Cold World." Other singles included 1991's elegaic teardrop anthem "The Whistle Song"
There is no doubt his music and everything he has done will live on , a True Legend .
R.I.P Frankie Warren Knuckles, Jr The Godfather of House .

Coming up for March on The Lab Sessions we have a very special guest mix from James Wilson .
James Wilson has been involved in the house music scene for over 15 years, having started DJing in 1996 before setting up his own successful, respected record label Climax Recordings. The label catapulted him to work and DJ alongside John Digweed, James Zabiela, Rui da Silva, Seb Fontaine, Pig & Dan and more.
James' DJing has taken him all over the world, from USA to Russia and many places in between. He has released on Brandon Block's Bloxbox, as well as Warped House, Jingo, Afterlight, Sweep the Floor and Abracadabra / Hocus Pocus, with many more to follow.
James has also been extremely honoured to do a remix for Chicago house legend Stirling Void.
His productions and remixes very much reflect his DJ'ing style - deep and hypnotic but always groovy.
James' DJ sets span the deeper end of the house and techno spectrum, riding on an infectious groove and combine elements of proper house, tech house and techno.
